We started a new spot on the show last week, which seems to have grabbed folks attention -
"Paul's Dental tip of the weeeeek".
"So what's it all about" I hear you say?
Well the show is called How Bizarre because quite frankly my life tends to be a bit bizarre most of the time, and I wouldn't have it any other way. This years ski trip was no exception, and that's where we met Paul.
Day 2 and we're sitting in a cafe after a decent days skiing, having a beer and eating wine gums like you do. Big mistake. Suddenly there's something in my mouth that doesn't feel like a wine gum, and it turned out to be a crown!!
My day took a turn for the worse then, worrying about spending the week with a gap in my smile and a hole in my jaw.
By happy coincidence it turned out that Paul, who was on the same table, was a dentist and to cut a long story not so long, he helped glue my crown back in place and I was a happy bunny again.
We spent the week skiing with Paul (an ace skier, enabling Charlie to tackle some monster black moguls!) and his daughter Ellie (who became great mates with Annabel). Each day, on a ski lift or in a mountain cafe, Paul wuld give us a dental tip, each more fascinating than the last.
Lightbulb moment - wouldn't it be great to share this on the show, and lo, "Paul's Dental Tip of the weeeek" was born.
Paul owns a dental practise (Purely Dental) up in Harrogate Leeds, with his partner Rosanna. He's incredibly enthusiastic about Oral health, and has a cracking voice for radio too!
