No, it's not one of my famous typos (or is that typo's?) - GVR is now available on RECIVA compatible radios.
You can find us by searching for Global Village Radio (and maybe even GVR) or you can find us their webpage...

You know I like to bring you "things to do" on my weekly Thursday show and I normally use a website called Ents24.com which kindly send me a listing each week (another secret out of the bag!) But last weekend we headed out to "Gromit Unleashed" in the city of Bristol. 80 five foot high statues of Gromit the wonderdog hidden around the city. Many within walking distance of the city centre, we managed to bag 30. Good fun for the kids, you can pick up a map at the Gromit shop opposite the Children's Hospital in Bristol. More details from http://www.gromitunleashed.org.uk/ I had hoped to get tickets to "Imagine Dragons" at Swindon in November, buy hey - all sold out. A little annoying that I'm still getting emails saying there are tickets, but what can you do. Weird to think that this week they have been playing Lollapalooza in Chicago, and in September they are playing at the Sports Centre in Swindon. Funny old world. This weekend sees the "FieldView Festival" at Little Somerford in Wiltshire. The line up is extensive and includes a band with local links. Delphics apparently include a former student of Sheldon School, Chippenham....alongside Jamie Cullum and Gabrielle Aplin the former students of Sheldon are rocking the music world.
My only regret - I didn't check out FieldView in time ot get some tickets - looks like a cracking festival...maybe GVRadio can get there for 2014? Check out their great website (and Soundcloud playlist) at http://fieldviewfestival.co.uk/ |
