Cakes, buns, pastries...seem to play a large part in CSW2013, if my sametime messages are to be believed! I've been hearing stories of Giant Jenga disasters (but then if you play it blindfolded then frankly you get what you deserve!). I hope there are some left over for me tomorrow at Bedfont.
I've been getting into my stride in the studio, and I had a load of fun today...with a little more of the varied music styles that are to be found on my Thursday evening shows.
Singalong: For reasons that will become obvious on Friday, I think the singalong will be "Hey Jude" by the Beatles and I expect IBM to ring to the strains of "Nah Nah, Nah ne Nah nah".
I'll put the words up here and also send out an email on Thursday so we're all prepped up (I'm hearing that Stuart A. was a bit "miffed" at not be allowed to lead off the singing of Sweet Caroline on Tuesday, another nail in my coffin I fear!).
It was great to hear from Ian Ormiston and to know he was listening to the show from his hospital bed where he is recovering from back surgery. Our thoughts are with you Ian, get well soon.
I hope you got your quiz and music quiz answers in to Simon Tierney today (Wed) to be in with a chance of winning the BIG PRIZE, although Simon did retire hurt today (too many cakes and buns perhaps) hopefully a good night's rest will see him back to fighting fitness tomorrow for the prize giving.
You get a day off from my dulcit tones tomorrow (Thursday) but I'm back with a bang on Friday 11th Oct at 12:30, use this page to tune in (the radio player is a post below) - and tell your IBM friends, let's make this a party.
