Thanks for all your support!
Hi - welcome to a special Internet radio Broadcast to celebrate Customer Service Week, brought to you courtesy of Global Village Radio.
From 12:30- 1:30 UK (13:30-14:30 CET) Steve Howe (Howebzar) will be live 'on air' to provide a musical backdrop to whatever madness you are up to!
What a blast it has been - I really hope you've enjoyed DJ HoweDog on the air this week , this is where it all happens! Check out my sho on Thursday 8-10pm at www.gvradio.net
Thanks for all your support!
Cakes, buns, pastries...seem to play a large part in CSW2013, if my sametime messages are to be believed! I've been hearing stories of Giant Jenga disasters (but then if you play it blindfolded then frankly you get what you deserve!). I hope there are some left over for me tomorrow at Bedfont.
I've been getting into my stride in the studio, and I had a load of fun today...with a little more of the varied music styles that are to be found on my Thursday evening shows.
Singalong: For reasons that will become obvious on Friday, I think the singalong will be "Hey Jude" by the Beatles and I expect IBM to ring to the strains of "Nah Nah, Nah ne Nah nah".
I'll put the words up here and also send out an email on Thursday so we're all prepped up (I'm hearing that Stuart A. was a bit "miffed" at not be allowed to lead off the singing of Sweet Caroline on Tuesday, another nail in my coffin I fear!).
It was great to hear from Ian Ormiston and to know he was listening to the show from his hospital bed where he is recovering from back surgery. Our thoughts are with you Ian, get well soon.
I hope you got your quiz and music quiz answers in to Simon Tierney today (Wed) to be in with a chance of winning the BIG PRIZE, although Simon did retire hurt today (too many cakes and buns perhaps) hopefully a good night's rest will see him back to fighting fitness tomorrow for the prize giving.
You get a day off from my dulcit tones tomorrow (Thursday) but I'm back with a bang on Friday 11th Oct at 12:30, use this page to tune in (the radio player is a post below) - and tell your IBM friends, let's make this a party.
To make it oh-so-simple to listen in, I have embedded the player into the page here. You can control the playback from the widget here....enjoy the show!
Don't close this window or
the radio stops!
The first show seemed to go pretty well, and the phonelink to Stuart worked perfectly (I was sweating on that!).
Apparently singing was heard in the hallowed halls of IBM Bedfont and I'm really pleased to hear that.
I'll see if I can find a suitable singalong for Wednesday, how about "Hi Ho silver Lining" or is that too crass?
Why not phone in with a request - dial my internal number (37285680) and leave your dedication, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let's get interactive.
Don't forget - you've got permission to listen :¬)
Welcome to Customer Service Week - from 7-11 Oct we will be celebrating the teams that support our customers throughout the year.
As part of this celebration and in association with Global Village Radio, we'll be running daily lunchtime Internet radio broadcasts from a studio hidden in deepest darkest Wiltshire, UK. You'll be able to request songs via Sametime to Steve Howe, and we might even try some phone-in's via SUT!
You may be wondering..."I thought streaming was not permitted on the IBM Network" and of course would be right...we have received special dispensation for this week from our colleagues at the CIO Infrastructure - thanks for making this possible.
Want a "Shout out"? Email me at email@example.com - let me know what you want to hear...and feel free to add feedback in the comments section below.
